I met Amy via Instagram – along with more than 30,000 others who follow her amazing food diary and inspiring recipes. I feel very fortunate to have Amy share her story with the Nourishing Hub and explain how Combined Therapy Cocktail (CTC) has positively transformed her life.
When chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) put a swift end to a million-mile-an-hour corporate career, it also created the most incredible life transformation imaginable. Less than a year ago, ALL of the below bullet points applied to me. A few months later, following one two hour, life transformational treatment, not one of them did.
…..and believe me that wasn’t the extent of my list.
For many years I suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. At 39 years of age I shut a successful business and was forced to give up the life that I knew (including my independence) and move in with my parents, unable to look after myself any longer. Thankfully a year with them saw me very close to returning to full health. However towards the end of my CFS recovery there was something inside of me that just wouldn’t shift, that wouldn’t allow me to break free from the illness that had plagued me for so long. I’d muddle along for a few weeks feeling a million bucks, telling everyone that I was finally ‘free’ and 100% healthy. Then my to do list would get out of control, I’d get overwhelmed and hey presto! I’d crash flat on my back for days. It became a terribly frustrating cycle. I soon came to realise that this cycle was triggered entirely by emotion; it had nothing to do with my physical health at all. It was at this point that I knew I needed to focus on my spiritual and emotional health to jump that final hurdle and I thank my lucky stars that I discovered the life transforming therapy, Combined Therapy Cocktail (CTC).
What is CTC?
Combined Therapy Cocktail (CTC) is a life transformational bundle of therapies that frees us of every single thing that holds us back from feeling and being amazing. CTC combines a number of therapies in one personalised ‘power’ session that gets to the root cause of every limiting belief, addiction, illness, negative emotion (you name it) and clears the lot, just like that. CTC includes Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguisitc Programming (NLP), Time-Line Therapy and Reiki. Each session is designed to specifically address the list of issues the client brings to the table.
How did CTC transform my life?
One day I had CFS, the next I was entirely free of it. Seriously. I literally walked clear of that awfully debilitating illness (and all of the other bullet pointed issues) following one CTC treatment and never looked back. It was so transformational I can’t tell you. The paralysing fear of public speaking that had been with me for 20 years? Gone. That feeling of not being good enough (which had me questioning my ability to write a successful recipe book, or build a business as therapist), gone. That need to please significant others by making decisions I knew would please them (albeit not myself), gone. All of it simply disappeared. It was like I was an entirely different person. The weight of all of that ‘crap’ had completely lifted. I felt totally empowered and free. I felt amazing.
A couple of short months later, I made the best decision of my life. I became a CTC Practitioner and am now blessed to be facilitating huge life transformations in others.

Thai Inspired Quinoa Fish Cakes
If you’ve got cooked quinoa and left overs in your fridge you have a whole heap of quinoa potential right there. You can combine all sorts of ingredients to produce delectable hot cakes in a flash. Before you do though, have a go at these spicy fish cakes – they are full of flavour and goodness that are guaranteed to delight.
SERVES 2, FOR
A LIGHT DINNER
PREP TIME: 20 MINUTES
1 cup cooked quinoa
200 grams wild Alaskan salmon (or cooked salmon)
1/3 cup coriander leaves and stems, chopped
3/4 – 1 large red chilli, finely chopped
1/4 cup quinoa flour
1 egg, whisked
2 teaspoons fish sauce
2 shallots, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 kaffir lime leaf, finely shredded
1/2 lemon, zest and juice
A pinch of Himalayan or Celtic sea salt
1 heaped teaspoon coconut oil (2 if runny)
WHAT TO DO
Combine all ingredients (bar coconut oil) and form into 4 even paô?°Šies. If the mixture is too sticky, add a liô?°Šle extra quinoa flour.
Heat the coconut oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Cook the paô?°Šies for 3-4 minutes each side or until golden.
Serve with a light side salad and a dollop of lemony mayonnaise if your heart (or tummy) so desires.
“FULL OF FLAVOUR AND GOODNESS”
Very Lemony Mayonnaise
I love the decadence and visual the word ‘dollop’ conjures up. A dollop of mayo suggests thick, creamy deliciousness that results in extra zing and oomph in a meal. Without the added preservatives and sugars of a store bought mayo, this one comes with a whole lot less guilt. Dollop away I say!
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
1 cup grape seed oil
2 tablespoons lemon zest, finely grated
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon Himalayan or Celtic sea salt
What to do
Blend the egg on low speed in a food processor. Add the lemon zest, juice and salt and blend for a few more seconds. With the motor still running slowly drizzle the oil into the mixture. If you can’t keep the motor running, add very small amounts at a time until the mayo is thick and smooth. Ideally this process will take at least 4 minutes.
Pop the mayo into a jar and into the fridge. It should keep for about a week.
